It's the time of year where traditions, large and small surge to the forefront with families, companies and friends alike. In this part of the world the World Junior Hockey Championships are a Christmas/New Years tradition that cause a swell of patriotism and pride in our national pastime- it does not hurt that the games are played with a passion and skill level umatched even at a pro level. This year, the hype is seemingly more intense with the event being held in Buffalo NY and the Americans defending their gold medal status. Throw in the possibility of another 49th Parallel Final and some competitive residue from the gold medal hockey game at the Vancouver Olympics and the next couple weeks will no doubt hold us completely engrossed.
So draw up a chair, a flag and some holiday bevvies and warm yourself with some superb, exciting junior hockey action.
Finally, from everyone here at Full Gorilla, best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season and all the best for 2011. Thanks for reading us, hopefully you enjoyed the posts... more big time stuff ahead for next year.
